How to play SightGuesser
Welcome to Sight Guesser! You're about to become a virtual explorer. The goal is simple, but the challenge is great. Here is everything you need to know to get started.
1. The Goal
You will be dropped into a video at a random location somewhere in the world. Your mission: figure out where you are!
You'll see a walking tour video. Your task is to place a pin on a world map to guess that location. The closer your guess is to the actual spot, the more points you'll get.
2. The Game Screen
Here's what the game screen looks like when you're playing:

3. The Scoring
Your score is based on the distance of your guess from the actual location. We use a special formula (Exponential Decay) to heavily reward precision.
- Maximum 1000 Points: For a perfect or near-perfect guess.
- Speed Bonus: Get a 1000 point bonus if your guess is within 10km AND submitted in the first 30 seconds!
- Good Points: Even a guess 500km away will still net you a decent score.
- Consolation Prize: Even if you're completely lost (2000km away), you'll still get points for trying.
The most important thing is: every kilometer counts! The closer you are, the faster your score climbs. And if you're both accurate and fast, you can score up to 2000 points in a single round!
